Back in 1980, Dr. Ahmed graduated with his medical degree from Chattogram Medical College Hospital in Bangladesh. He then relocated to the United States, performing his internship in pediatrics at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York in 1993. He also performed his residency in pediatrics at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in 1995.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, he is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
With over 40 years of experience in pediatrics, Dr. Ahmed is affiliated with Memorial Hospital, Belleville; St. Elizabeth Hospital, Belleville; Crawford Memorial Hospital; and Anderson Hospital.
