In regards to his educational background, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Biology from the University of California, Davis in 2010 where he was on the NCAA Division I Wrestling, before receiving his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2016 and completing his residency in family medicine at UT Rio Grande Valley in 2020.
