Get to know Internist Dr. George C. Koppuzha, who serves patients in Charlotte, Florida.

Charlotte Internal Medicine Associates in Charlotte, Florida is the office of Dr. Koppuzha, a well-versed internist. With a mission to provide the best healthcare with the most cost efficacy, he can treat adult patients (age 18 and older) for any condition ranging from the common cold to chronic diseases, excluding pain management.

Having been a prominent provider in Southwest Florida since 1998, the doctor has hospital affiliations with Bayfront Health Port Charlotte and Fawcett Memorial Hospital. He is able to follow patients’ care while hospitalized to ensure a smooth transition after discharge. 

A 1986 graduate of St. John’s Medical College in India, Dr. Koppuzha relocated to the United States to further his training. Once there, he performed his internship in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center in New York, followed by his residency in internal medicine at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey. 

With over three decades of experience in his field, he is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
