Get to know Licensed Clinical Psychologist Dr. Robert C. Erikson, who serves patients in Ohio.

Dr. Erikson is a licensed clinical psychologist who works at the Humanistic Counseling Center with offices in North Olmsted and Richfield, Ohio. Specializing in individual and couples therapy, he sees adolescents, adults, and seniors. 

Since 1976, the therapists at Humanistic Counseling Center have been successfully assisting patients dealing with life’s struggles. Committed to excellence, they have over 20 offices in a 473 mile circumference of Cleveland, serving people in 7 counties and 137 zip codes.

Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Erikson earned his Doctorate degree in Social & Clinical Psychology from the University of Arizona in 1976. He also holds a medical degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Clinical psychology is a broad branch of psychology that focuses on diagnosing and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Some of the more common disorders that might be treated include learning disabilities, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders. Licensed clinical psychologists meet with patients to identify problems – emotional, mental and behavioral – in their lives. Through observation, interviews and tests, they aim to diagnose any existing or potential disorders.
