Get to know Podiatrist Dr. Alan J. Rosen, who serves patients in New York, New York.

Dr. Rosen is a trusted podiatrist serving patients at his private practice on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. He is a specialist in aesthetic podiatry, heel pain, podiatric sports medicine, podiatric surgery, and nail fungus treatment.

Dr. Rosen’s office is equipped with his own X-ray and Diagnostic Ultrasound so he can evaluate and treat your foot injury the same day.  He has the latest up to date nonsurgical treatments for Plantar fascitis, Neuroma’s, Warts, and Nail fungus.  

Following the completion of his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo in 1985, Dr. Rosen went on to pursue his medical training. He graduated with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois in 1989. He served his residency at the FDR Veterans Administration Medical Center at Montrose rotating through West Point Academy in New York.

The doctor has affiliations with a number of medical facilities, including Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Gramercy Surgical Center, and AllCity Family Health Surgical Center. From 1992 until 1996, he was one of the official podiatrists of the New York City Marathon. 

In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine and a member of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association, Dr. Rosen is board-certified through the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). The ABPM exists to offer podiatric physicians a comprehensive board qualification and certification process.

A podiatrist, also known as a podiatric physician or a foot and ankle surgeon, is a medical professional devoted to the treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. They can treat injuries and complications from ongoing health issues like diabetes.
