Dr Lytle is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. She came in on her day off to see me because I was from out of town. She even gave me some of her own food to send me home with. An initial consult with Dr Lytle is like being interviewed by Richard Simmons. All smiles and enthusiasm while being asked about the most dark things in your life. It’s almost comical. For those of us that struggle with depression, we’re skeptical of this kind of obscene happiness. No one could be that happy, especially if you’re a psychiatrist. Which leads me to wonder what cocktail Dr Lytle is on, and sign me up! I would love to be that deliriously happy. But that’s not an option for me anymore. Dr Lytle decided she will not see me. After having 1 consult and a 25 minute phone visit, she decided my case was too intense for her. I wish I had known that she would drop me for being “too intense of a case” before I spent almost $600, my time, energy, and hopeful anticipation of receiving help, for literally nothing. All I have to show from my work with Dr Lytle is a consult letter and added rejection. In conclusion, if you want a psych who talks to you like Minnie Mouse and gets you literally no where but tells you all kinds of her own personal stories, wastes your time and energy, and charges outrageous amounts of money for it, Dr Lytle would be a great fit.
