  • When can you eat normal food after implant surgery?

    Your doctor will be the best to answer that for you, however keep in mind that when people sleep they may clench and grind teeth with great force! So maybe see if you can get soft a night guard. (it's also the best way to find out if you actually grind teeth at night).   • What are the disadvantages of zirconia crowns?

    1- Zirconia crowns are opaque. When translucency is needed for esthetics (like in front teeth), the options are porcelain overlaid on top of a thin layer of zirconia or using a more translucent version of zirconia that is not as strong and color match is more difficult. 2- Zirconia is very strong - it is stronger than enamel. As with all crowns other than gold crowns, if a person grinds their teeth, there will be more wear on the opposing teeth (with time grinding against the crown wears away the enamel) … but this is a problem with all crowns that are stronger than enamel.
