With over a quarter of a century of experience, Dr. Gendron is a board certified psychiatrist in practice with Nystrom & Associates – Mendota Heights Clinic in Minnesota.

“My approach is an ease of personal connection with a conversational tone, in my hopes of creating an environment in which (often) difficult, personal issues can be discussed. Treatment plans and decisions, including rationale, are always fully discussed, based on medical/psychiatric research as well as expertise and experience, and are jointly made with your assistance, as your own preferences, desires, and needs are critical, in fact, the crux of your own treatment. I am here to help you get better, feel better.”
Academically, Dr. Gendron graduated with his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pre-Medicine and Mathematics from Boston College, with honors in 1991. He then went on to earn his Medical Degree from Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in 1995, after which he performed a 4-year residency in psychiatry and a 1-year fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at Brown University.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders by conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications.
When not at work, Dr. Gendron enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, exploring local culinary offerings, staying informed about national, local, and global affairs, cherishing the company of animals, reveling in laughter, and avidly following the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Twins.
