Dr. Anil Chowdhary began his journey in the clear aligner therapy industry after noticing an alarming number of patients coming in who were experiencing pain and discomfort during their aligner therapy treatment. One day, he had an epiphany. Dr. Chowdhary realized that the biggest problem with aligner therapy treatment was that there was no way to track and monitor the progress remotely and in real time. Patients struggled to keep up with protocols, and dentists had to give them more appointments than planned to fix the underlying problems. Sometimes, it was too late, and often, patients ended up in wires and brackets - exactly what they set out to avoid. Aligner therapy has become inaccurate, inconvenient, and expensive. While Dr. Chowdhary didn't set out to disrupt the aligner industry, he recognized that something needed to change. Patients gave up, lost their aligners, and didn't report any problems until it was too late. Meanwhile, dentists had reduced chair time to accept other patients. "Quite simply, AlignerAi happened because of my work in dentistry," Dr. Chowdhary says. Since gaining his Fellowship in Orthodontics in 2020, Dr. Chowdhary realized he could fix this problem even if it meant revolutionizing an entire industry.
