A native of Pennsylvania, Dr. Garrett has been living in the Metropolitan area since 1996. She graduated with honors from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry-Biology. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Howard University. She completed her general residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Washington, D.C. 

Since she was a teenager, Dr. Garrett dreamed of becoming a dentist and would spend her summers dental assisting to learn more about her craft. Nowadays, she enjoys taking dental courses to further provide her patients with current dental care. Her advanced certifications and experience in the latest cutting-edge dental procedures such as GLO closed tray whitening, ECO Balance System, and Invisalign give patients an advantage in both treatment and cosmetic options.

To advance her professional development, she remains a member of the American Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and Tyson’s Dental Study Club. She is also affiliated with Dental Sleep Group Solutions and the TBSE dental organization.
