She then went on to complete a three-year surgical residency at the prestigious Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan where she completed her training in podiatric medicine and surgery. Dr. Sabghir received extensive training in elective forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, pediatric deformities and infections, treatment of lower extremity sports injuries, wound care, and diabetic limb salvage.

Dr. Sabghir has particular interest in congenital, biomechanical, and pathologic conditions of the pediatric foot and ankle. She has been a part of multiple pediatric academic studies throughout her training, as well as has presented one of her research projects at the APMA conference in 2014. She has also volunteered at multiple marathons and sporting events around the United States, at pediatric foot screenings, and at Yanhee International Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand.
