Bruce W. Gloeckner attended Bakersfield College, majoring in Math and Chemistry, before transferring to San Francisco State University, where he graduated with a Bachelors in Art in Chemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology. In 1980, he graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of the Pacific San Francisco School of Dentistry. Dr. Gloeckner holds dual certification by the American Board of Orthodontics-Invisalign and the American Board of Orthodontics-Functional Appliances, and remains a professional member of the American Academy of Gnathologic Orthopedics. He has been practicing dentistry for over 34 years and is currently serving patients at his private practice, Aloha Orthodontics, located in Bakersfield, California. Alongside a team of highly trained dental professionals, he is committed to putting patients first and providing them with the best professional dental care. Dr. Gloeckner has vast experience in his field of dentofacial orthopedics, which is a dental specialty that involves treating any imbalances of the jaws and teeth. He aims to guide proper facial development and growth so that the teeth align up normally, without the need for invasive surgical extractions. Throughout his treatments, he strives to preserve the patient’s natural dentition with non-extraction orthopedic techniques and holistic concepts that help develop the jaws to accommodate all of the patient’s permanent teeth. He avoids invasive procedures, such as extraction and orthognathic surgery, whenever possible.
