Dr. Yehya is an advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support and heart transplant Cardiologist at Sentara Healthcare. He is the Medical Director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program at Sentara Healthcare and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Yehya completed his Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation fellowship at Stanford University. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Emory University and his Cardiovascular Diseases fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Yehya earned his Master's Degree in Biochemistry and his Medical Degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon.
Dr. Yehya is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant Cardiology, and Echocardiography. Dr. Yehya is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Heart Failure Society of America. He is a member of the Alpha-Omega-Alpha Honarary Medical Society.
Dr. Yehya has published in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and has presented his work and was an invited speaker in national and international conferences. He is the Editor of a book: "Heart Failure: What a Non-Heart Failure Specialist Needs to Know".
Dr. Yehya is passionate about delivering high quality patient care and in his spare time, he enjoys traveling and volunteering.
