Get to know Dermatologist Dr. Alexis Stephens, who serves patients in Florida.

A board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Stephens is the Founder of Parkland Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery, bringing the latest techniques and technologies to the community in tropical Coral Springs, Florida.

In her clinical role, she offers several popular skin rejuvenating treatments, including microneedling, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. She also offers wrinkle-relief products like Botox® and Dysport® and dermal fillers including Juvederm® and Restylane®. With many of these treatments, patients have the option to add injections of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to enhance healing and speed up results. In her quest to give patients their ideal bodies, she also offers EMSculpt®, a cutting-edge treatment that reduces fat and enhances muscle definition.

Before settling down in South Florida, Dr. Stephens completed an extensive education in skincare that began at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. After earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree there, she moved south to Plantation, Florida, for specialized fellowship training in pigmented lesions. She went on to complete further dermatology training as a resident at Nova Southeastern University, where she quickly rose to the top of her class and became Chief Resident. During her time there, she also was awarded the title of Resident of the Year.

Throughout her career, she has worked hard to create a modern and welcoming environment for a diverse group of patients, accepting new and returning patients alike. She hopes to empower them, not only with gorgeously natural-looking results, but with the knowledge they need to care for their skin outside of the office.

Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the skin. The skin is the largest organ of the body. Dermatology is a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist is a specialist doctor who manages skin diseases and deals with both internal and external causes and some cosmetic concerns involving the skin. Dermatological duties include taking consultations, providing screening tests, and undertaking non-invasive surgical procedures.

During her time outside of the office, Dr. Stephens is passionate about uplifting communities of color and has lectured at numerous national and international conferences.
