After graduating with his medical degree from Tichreen University in Syria, he went on to complete a rigorous residency in neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine, one of the leading medical institutions in the country. To further refine his skills, he undertook a prestigious spine fellowship at the University of Texas at Memorial Hermann Hospital. With five years of experience practicing in Houston, he has gained valuable insights and techniques in both hospital and private practice settings.

Now stationed at St. Luke’s Health Memorial Hospital, Dr. Al-Hafez specializes in a wide array of neurosurgical procedures, including general cranial and spinal surgery, brain and spine trauma management, compression fracture surgery, and treatment of conditions such as herniated discs, subdural hematomas, and brain tumors.
