Dr. Rousso is a triple-board certified facial plastic surgeon who welcomes patients at Rousso Facial Plastic Surgery Clinic located in Birmingham, Alabama. He specializes in a wide range of surgical and non-surgical treatments of the face. Licensed to practice in Alabama and Georgia, Dr. Rousoo maintains hospital privileges at St. Vincent’s Birmingham, Brookwood Baptist Medical Center, UAB Highlands, and Grandview Medical Center. After completing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry at Emory University in 1977, Dr. Rousso enrolled into Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine and obtained his medical degree in 1981. Following a one-year general surgery internship at the Medical University of South Carolina (1982), Dr. Rousso completed an otolaryngology residency at Emory University, Residency School of Medicine (1986).

He is triple board-certified by the American Board of Facial and Reconstructive Surgery, American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and American Board of Hair Restoration. Furthermore, Dr. Rousso is one of the founding members of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) where he also served as President.

Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body. It can be divided into two main categories: reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery. Reconstructive surgery includes craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery, and the treatment of burns.

Throughout his career, he served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Additionally, he has authored several publications on facial plastic surgery, and was published in New York Times as a Top Doctor. Listed as a Regional Top Doctor by Castle Connolly in 2014, Dr. Rousso is a Fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
