Get to know Neurologist Dr. Ajit Indavarapu, who serves patients in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

A knowledgeable neurologist, Dr. Indavarapu sees patients at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He specializes in taking care of patients with ischemic stroke, intra cerebral hemorrhage, aneurysmal rupture, traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, encephalitis, cerebral edema, neuromuscular diseases, status epilepticus and postoperative neurosurgical patients.

Originally from India, he graduated with his medical degree from the Osmania Medical College. After relocating to the United States, he completed his internship at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, followed by a residency in neurology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. Finally, he completed his fellowship in neurocritical care at the Rush University Medical Center.

An authority in his field, Dr. Indavarapu is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Neurocritical Care Society.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.
