What do you attribute your success to?

  • My current and former supervisors. They are very passionate about what they do and they have helped me gain the connections and expertise that I have to excel in my areas of interest in patient care on a micro, mezzo, and macro level in social work. Personally, I have lots of experience with children's hospitals growing up in Chicago and at Michigan Medicine as a patient while watching my older sister getting the care that she needed. She later died at the age of 24 when I was 12 years old. This has a strong impact on my career journey and why focusing on trauma is important to me.
