Get to know Anesthesiologist Dr. Babatunde Oyediran, who serves patients in Indiana.

A knowledgeable anesthesiologist, Dr. Oyediran is an independent contractor with Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. His areas of expertise and specialization include regional anesthesiology, general anesthesiology, and trauma & critical care.

He received his post-medical training at The Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis which is one of the most successful and innovative anesthesiology programs in the United States. They have a long and rich history of excellence in the multi-faceted missions of collaborative patient care, education, and research.

Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Oyediran received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Texas Southern University in 2003 and his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in 2012. He is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is proficient in both English and Medical Spanish.

Continuously advancing his efforts, he is an active member of the American Medical Association and the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and has published articles on pharmacokinetics in the field of pharmacodynamics and pharmacology.

In addition to his professional commitments, Dr. Oyediran is also deeply involved in philanthropic initiatives, including supporting his church and alumni organizations, and helping those in need.

Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery. Anesthesiologists have a vast amount of responsibilities that include vigilant monitoring of the patient’s vital signs during surgery, managing acute pain, maintaining safety, and most importantly, acting as the patient’s advocate in the operating room.

Throughout his illustrious career, Dr. Oyediran has received numerous awards and accolades for his hard work and dedication. He attributes his success to his strong foundation in faith, the support of his parents and family, and the guidance of his teachers and colleagues. 

In his free time, he enjoys running, playing chess and soccer, reading, and traveling, particularly to his favorite vacation spot in San Antonio, Texas.
