An experienced family practitioner, Dr. Browne is the Medical Director of AFC Urgent Care Centers in South Plainfield, West Orange, Cedar Grove, and Aberdeen, New Jersey.
Prior to joining AFC Urgent Care, he served as an attending family practice physician at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York; a faculty member of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine; and as a house physician at Christ Hospital in Jersey City, New Jersey.
With extensive prior experience working in urgent care centers, Dr. Browne currently serves as a team physician for all athletic programs at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey; a ringside physician for USA Boxing and NY/NJ State Professional Boxing; and is a member of the NJ and NY State Athletic Commissions.
In regards to his educational background, Dr. Browne holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, prior to which he studied biological sciences at Rutgers University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey’s School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident at Barnert Hospital. He then completed his fellowship in sports medicine at Overlook Hospital.
A member of the American Osteopathic Association, he is board-certified in family medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP). The AOBFP is an organization that provides board certification to qualified osteopathic physicians who specialize in delivering comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, genders, and addressing all parts of the body.
Licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York, Dr. Browne is affiliated with JFK Medical Center and Mountainside Medical Center.
