In regards to the doctor’s educational background, he earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1984. He then went on to complete his rotating internship at the Medical College of Ohio, followed by his residency in general psychiatry at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, an affiliate hospital of Case Western Reserve University. He also completed a residency in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
