Back in 1975, Dr. Prause graduated with his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine, before completing his residency in pediatrics at the same educational venue in 1978. Furthermore, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), and maintains hospital privileges at CHRISTUS Ochsner St. Patrick Hospital.

An authority in his field, the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.
