Get to know Family Physician Dr. George R. Ikeler, who serves patients in Sorrento, Florida.

Dr. Ikeler is a trusted family physician at Clark Health. He sees patients of all ages at the office in Sorrento, Florida. 

For over three decades, the medical team at Clark Health has been committed to the community’s lifelong wellness by providing quality and compassionate health care. Their goal is to provide patients and their families continuity of medical care at any age, in any setting: hospital, office-rural health clinic, skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, independent living facility, and home visits. 

A 1964 graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine, Dr. Ikeler went on to complete his internship and residency at the University of Alabama Medical Center. Before long, he attained board certification through the American Board of Family Medicine, a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties. 

Licensed to practice medicine in Florida, he is affiliated with AdventHealth Waterman and Sorrento Medical Clinic. There, he is dedicated to providing whole-person care that heals the body, strengthens the mind, and lifts the spirit. 

To advance his professional efforts, Dr. Ikeler remains a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility. 

With over five decades of experience in his field, Dr. Ikeler has been the recipient of Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2015, 2016) and Patients’ Choice Award (2015, 2017).
