Get to know Endodontist Dr. Paul Hobeich, who serves patients in Tucson, Arizona.

Dr. Hobeich is a skilled, board-certified endodontist who is dedicated to the diagnosis of dental and systemic diseases of the head and neck, especially head and neck pain and infections, root canal treatments and re-treatments, periapical surgery, and treatment of trauma to the teeth. He is the owner & operator of Hobeich Endodontics in Tucson, Arizona.

Hobeich Endodontics’ mission is to provide specialized and comprehensive care in a friendly, safe, and state-of-the-art environment. The practice’s focus is on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the pulp (the soft tissues within the tooth; i.e., the “nerve”) and the periapical tissues (i.e., the root end area) of the teeth.

A local for over 30 years, Dr. Hobeich plans to provide 24-hour emergency and consultation services as part of his private practice set-up. He also plans to continue to become more involved at a local, state, and national level as an advocate for endodontics.

Alongside his clinical role, he teaches the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residents that are involved with the Lutheran Medical Program. Moreover, he does volunteer work and contributes to several local charities.

Born in Lubbock, Texas, Dr. Hobeich moved to beautiful Tucson with his family at the age of one. In 2006, he graduated with a Bachelor in Science degree from the University of Arizona and immediately started dental school at Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. During dental school, he developed an interest in the field of endodontics and decided it was the career he wanted to pursue.

After graduating from dental school with his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree, he began his residency in endodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. As a result, he has over two years of specialized postdoctoral training to meet the unique and wide variety of dental needs of the patient population he now treats.

A past President of the Southern Arizona Dental Association, Dr. Hobeich is board-certified through the American Board of Endodontics, which consists of a distinguished group of endodontists who have demonstrated their dedication to professional growth and providing the highest quality of patient care.

Endodontics is the dental specialty concerned with the study and treatment of the dental pulp. An endodontist is a dentist who specializes in treatment to help save teeth. They deal with problems with the inside of the tooth: the pulp, which is made up of nerves, blood vessels, and other soft tissues. One of the most common procedures these dental professionals perform is root canal treatment, which involves removing the infected pulp of a tooth and sealing it up.

On a more personal note, Dr. Hobeich is married with two children. He met his beautiful wife and pediatric dentist, Lauren, during his residency training at Baylor College of Dentistry.
