Get to know Internist Dr. Juan Ortiz Santiago, who serves patients in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. A skilful internist, Dr. Ortiz Santiago is affiliated with Bayamón Medical Center in Puerto Rico. Graduating with the class of 2004, Dr. Ortiz Santiago earned his Medical Degree from the Universidad Central Del Caribe. He then went on to perform his residency in internal medicine at the University of Puerto Rico from 2004 until 2007. Demonstrating knowledge in his field, the doctor is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists.
