Dr. Thomas was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was raised in Queens, New York until he and his family moved to South Carolina during his middle school years. Dr. Thomas received his bachelor’s degree in biology from South Carolina State University with a United States Army ROTC Scholarship. Accepting an educational delay with the US Army, he graduated with honors from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts in 1991.

Dr. Thomas served his country as a Captain/Dentist in the U.S. Army Dental Corps. He was stationed in Texas, South Carolina, as well as Berlin and Heidelberg (Germany).

Dr. Thomas is an active member of the American Dental Association, the National Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the Atlantic/Cape May County Dental Society.
