Get to know Family Physician Dr. Rafael A. Ubeda, who serves patients throughout the State of Florida.

Dr. Ubeda is a seasoned family physician who treats patients of all ages. He is currently an attending physician at Homestead Hospital and West Kendall Baptist Hospital, both of which are a part of Baptist Health. 

In the state of Florida, he is also affiliated with Ocean Reef Medical Center, Good Samaritan Medical Center, HCA Florida Palms West Hospital, and Jackson South Medical Center.

Educated in Colombia, Dr. Ubeda graduated with his medical degree from the National University of Colombia Faculty of Medicine in 1977. He then went on to perform his residency at San Juan Bautista Medical Center (Puerto Rico) in 1997, and his residency in family medicine at Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in 1999.

In 2000, the doctor attained board certification in family medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

In order to stay up to date in his field, Dr. Ubeda remains an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Nicaraguan-American Medical Association.
