Dr. Igor Smelyansky is the owner of Omega Pain Management in Knoxville, TN. He is a graduate of the NYU Medical Center (New York, NY) Neurology residency, followed by a prestigious ACGME-accredited Pain Management Fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. He earned his Medical Degree in 1999 from Wayne State University Medical School in Detroit, MI. He is the only physician in the entire East Tennessee area who is double ABMS board certified in both Neurology and Pain Medicine. Dr. Smelyansky performs X-Ray guided interventional pain management procedures (such as medial branch blocks, epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablations, spinal cord stimulator trials, etc.) He also offers other, more traditional methods for treating chronic pain.

He is an active member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), Tennessee Pain Society (TPS) and American Academy of Neurology (AAN).
