Hartford Hospital, founded in 1854, one of the largest teaching hospitals and tertiary care centers in New England with perhaps the region’s busiest surgery practice, has been training physicians for over 160 years. A native of Nepal, Dr. Rijal earned his medical degree from Tribhuvan University Institute of Medicine in 2009. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine at the Staten Island University Hospital in 2013.He served as an academic Hospitalist, and clinical faculty at The Miriam Hospital in Rhode Island, a major affiliate of Brown University Medical School until 2017. He has been serving the greater Hartford community since 2017.
