    If you have an established diagnosis of sarcoidosis I would recommend that you consult with a pulmonologist. I cannot speak to the entire spectrum of osteopathic medicine but there DO's that are members of esteemed university medical schools and their treatment would not materially vary from what their colleagues do in the management of patients. This is true especially when they have become trained specialist in fields such as pulmonary medicine. So assuming that your primary area of involvement is your lungs see a pulmonologist. READ MORE

    It is imperative that you seek the care of a physician. If you have a primary care physician it is appropriate to contact that person and inform them of your situation. You should stress the difficulty with breathing and if they see you promptly or refer you to where you could be seen npromptly that would be my first choice. Otherwise going to a hospital emergency room should occur promptly (If you’re insurance does not cover emergency room visit for this form of illness, they should due to your breathing problem) Go to the emergency room.
