Dr. De Jesus is a clinical psychologist in the organization, Familias CAPACES Inc., in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Since 2001, Familias CAPACES Inc. has  provided psychological services and support to families in situations of vulnerability and risk of child abuse. Its mission is to strengthen family relationships and thereby reduce child abuse.

In regards to her educational background, Dr. De Jesus graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico in 2012. She then completed Couples Therapy: Sexuality and Family System at Complutense University of Madrid in 2016, and became a certified Creative Coach, Couples and Life Coach at the University of Puerto Rico in 2017.

Certified in Trauma through the Institute of Traumatology, De. De Jesus graduated with her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology from Carlos Albizu University – San Juan Campus in 2019.

Certified in clinical traumatology and serving as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Dr. De Jesus has training in couples therapy, sexuality, and family systems. She practices her profession in mental health centers in communities that present high levels of stress and vulnerability in families due to intra-family and community violence generated by the transfer of drugs and weapons.
