Bringing Decades of Expertise to Enhance Heart Health Services in Tennessee 

Dr. Hady Lichaa, MD, is a highly trained interventional and general cardiovascular specialist at Ascension Saint Thomas Heart Rutherford and Ascension Saint Thomas Heart West, where he also holds the esteemed position of Vice Chairman of the Interventional Cardiology Council. He has introduced a complex high-risk coronary/endovascular program at Ascension Saint Thomas Heart Rutherford, further solidifying his commitment to advancing cardiovascular care.

With a wealth of experience spanning over two decades, Dr. Lichaa specializes in minimally invasive heart and vascular procedures aimed at restoring optimal blood flow to the heart, internal organs and extremities. His clinical expertise encompasses coronary artery disease, complex coronary interventions, coronary microcirculatory dysfunction, peripheral artery disease, critical limb ischemia, deep vein thrombosis and deep venous interventions. 

Dr. Lichaa is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of cardiovascular interventions through innovative approaches that prioritize procedural safety and enhance clinical outcomes while reducing invasiveness. He is also a strong believer in prevention of cardiovascular disease through dietary optimization, lifestyle modifications, and medical therapy.

Dr. Lichaa’s academic journey began at the Faculty of Medicine at Saint Joseph University of Beirut, where he earned his Medical Degree. He honed his skills through a residency in internal medicine, fellowship in cardiovascular disease, and fellowship in cardiovascular interventions at Cooper University Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey, culminating a fifteen year training in 2012.

As a board certified specialist in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, Dr. Lichaa is also recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology. His expertise extends to endovascular medicine, where he holds board certification from the American Board of Vascular Medicine and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Ultrasound Interpretation from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. 

Dr. Lichaa’s contributions and leadership in the field of cardiovascular medicine have been widely acknowledged, as evidenced by his fellowship status in prestigious organizations such as the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions, the American College of Cardiology, and the Society for Vascular Medicine. 

In addition to his clinical practice, he holds an Assistant Professor appointment at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine – Nashville, where he imparts his knowledge and expertise to the next generation of cardiologists and family medicine physicians.

Dr. Lichaa is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences, serves as an abstract reviewer for the American College of Cardiology, manuscript reviewer for major societal cardiovascular journals and has contributed significantly to the academic literature in leading cardiovascular journals with special focus on new interventional techniques that optimize procedural safety. His passion for innovation and commitment to improving patient outcomes through advanced cardiovascular interventions set him apart as a leading figure and inventor in the field. 

Fluent in English, French, and Arabic, Dr. Lichaa’s multilingual proficiency further enhances his ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds. He attributes his success to his skill in patient education and performing minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures, which he finds immensely gratifying due to their life-saving impact.
