After completing medical school, Dr. Matthews completed his residency in internal medicine at the USAF David Grant Medical Center, where he gained invaluable experience in providing comprehensive care to patients.
A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Notably, before embarking on his medical career, Dr. Matthews served in the Air Force, where he engaged in search and rescue helicopter missions for three years. This experience not only demonstrated his dedication to saving lives but also provided him with a unique perspective on the importance of proactive and compassionate care.
