Pertaining to his educational background, Dr. Adoo received his undergraduate degree from Achimota School Sixth Form College in Ghana. He earned his medical degree from the University of Ghana Medical School, and completed his internship and residency at the St. Agnes Hospital, where he would eventually serve as the chief resident. Finally, he completed a fellowship at the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s Greenebaum Cancer Center.
With a focus on compassionate state-of-the-art cancer care, he is board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). In addition to his published work, he has participated in several presentations at the Hematology Oncology Fellowship Program, National Institute of Health, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society/Cure for Lymphoma Association, and Phoenix Veterans Affairs Hospital.
