Dr. Karin is an experienced otolaryngologist who, since 1990, has worked at the very highly regarded Ear, Nose & Throat of Los Gatos office, now a member of University Health Alliance of Stanford Medicine. With 30+ years of surgical expertise in numerous areas, the doctor specializes in advanced endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, head and neck cancer, thyroid surgery, snoring, sleep apnea, and voice disorders. In the pediatric age group, the most common procedures he performs are tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and ear tube placement. Possessing a solid educational background, Dr. Karin graduated with his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 1983. Furthering his education, he performed his internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in 1984, and his residency in Otolaryngology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 1989 with additional training in Endoscopic Sinus Surgery.
A Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, he is board-certified through the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He is an active member of the American Rhinologic Society. The non-profit corporation serves the public by assuring that diplomates meet our standards of training, knowledge and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.
