Raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dr. Balamohan attended college and medical school at Indiana University, where he was selected into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his internship and residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the University of Florida in 2017. He joined the staff of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in 2018.
In addition to being a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the doctor is board-certified through the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS). The mission of the ABOHNS is to serve the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.
