Dr. Choksi is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), a Fellow of the American Academy of Oncology (FAAO), and a Fellow of the American College of Cancer Specialists (FACCS). He is also a member of the Southern Medical Association, the Harris County Medical Society, the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, 

Dr. Choksi is board-certified in both internal medicine and medical oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Dr. Choksi earned his medical degree from King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College in Mumbai, India. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, followed by his fellowship in medical oncology at the same hospital. He also completed an additional fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. 

Oncology is a branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. As an oncologist, Dr. Choksi is trained to diagnose and treat all types and forms of cancer. He may employ a variety of diagnostic tests such as biopsies, imaging tests, endoscopic tests and laboratory tests.
