Get to know Radiologist Dr. Laura Gillihan Ulrich, who serves patients in Columbia, South Carolina.

A prominent radiologist, Dr. Gillihan Ulrich is the Medical Director of ImageCare in Columbia, South Carolina. Her clinical interests include diagnostic radiology, neuroradiology, and women’s imaging/breast imaging.

Back in 2007, she received her medical degree from the Universidad Federada de Costa Rica, before completing her residency in diagnostic radiology at the Texas Tech University / Drexel University in 2013, and her fellowship in neuroradiology at the University of Maryland in 2014.

As a testament to her success, the doctor is board-certified in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics. 

Radiology refers to the field of medicine that uses non-invasive imaging scans to diagnose a patient. A radiologist is a physician who uses imaging methodologies to diagnose and manage patients and provide therapeutic options.
