We measure eye pressure by pressing on the cornea, either with a device or a burst of air. LASIK will change the thickness of the cornea, thus affecting the accuracy of the instruments used to measure the pressure. If the blood vessel burst because of trauma, you should definitely get checked out by an eye doctor. If it happened spontaneously (usually rubbing your eye without even realizing it, or coughing or vomiting), then it is usually just a cosmetic issue. It’s always a good idea not to rub the eye excessively, but you don’t need to cover it (unless you don’t want people to see that your eye is red).
