Dr. Prince Shah is a dedicated, empathic physician with a stellar academic background. His care philosophy is simple: Patients come first. He is board-certified in Gastroenterology & Hepatology. He completed his training at Indiana University Medical Center in 1998. He worked at Stanford Hospital for many years and then started his own practice in 2006 serving the communities of Morgan Hill, Gilroy, and surrounding areas.

He has attending privileges at St. Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy, where he has served as Chief of Medicine in the past. Every year the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy selects a handful of videos for presentation as the "Best Cases of the Year". These are then presented during the most important Gastrointestinal Meeting in the USA called Digestive Disease Week. Dr. Prince Shah has the unique distinction of having his videos selected twice during his career for oral presentation during this forum. His technical skills include the ability to do advanced endoscopic interventions including Endoscopic Mucosal Resection and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio-Pancreatography.

Patients often come from as far as Monterey and Santa Cruz to get hemorrhoid banding done. His Publications include Rex, P. Shah, et al. Screening Colonoscopy in asymptomatic average-risk African-Americans Gastrointest Endosc 2000; 51:524-527 Cecal Aspirate for Giardia Antigens. Poster presented at DDW 1997, and at ASGE Young Investigators Conference Shah, et al. Insulin Autoimmune Syndrome as a cause of Spontaneous Hypoglycemia in Alcoholic Cirrhosis Gastroenterology 1995; 106: 1673-1676 His awards include: Dr. S. N. Sen Prize in Medicine Gold Medal in Pathology and Microbiology Ranked First in Medicine, and First in Surgery Gold Medal in Physiology Sir Frank Conoor Prize in Surgery.
