Does Lupus Mean a Lifetime of Poor Sleep?

Write it down

Journaling is a great activity, and it doesn't necessarily have to be a ‘dear diary' type thing.  Journaling is a perfect tool to help track sleep habits and symptoms of SLE.  Tracking how long someone slept, what they were feeling and anything else that may have factored in a poor night's sleep for at least one week can help unearth what is the cause and how to fix it.

For example, if someone has the occasional cup of coffee after dinner, they might notice that on those nights they indulged in the caffeinated beverage, they didn't get a good night's sleep.  By simply swapping out the caffeine for a decaf brew will improve their sleep and in turn, reduce their lupus symptoms.
