One specific pathway helped them understand more about the correlation

The research team choose one specific target pathway, called Huntingtin-interacting protein-1 (HIP1), and its association with RA. They found that by depleting RA cells of HIP1, this reduced their capacities to invade cells by nearly half, thus allowing the cells to recover properly after cartilage and joint damage.
