Running seven marathons in seven days is damaging to anyone, but having Parkinson’s’ really doesn’t make it any worse says Melissa J. Nirenberg, a neurologist who treated Bret for the first ten years of his diagnosis. Nirenberg was a little taken back by Bret’s plans, but she also acknowledged that exercise can slow down the progression of the disease.
