Dronabinol, which is a man-made version of the substance THC found in marijuana, is approved by the Food and Drug Administration or FDA for the treatment of some medical conditions such as cancer. Marijuana has been misused in many cases, but it also has a longstanding history of being a primary ingredient in herbal remedies across the world. The breadth of use of marijuana means that it’s not surprising that regulators have such a difficult time debating whether or not it should be allowed.
