There are many factors that are easy to forget
Does the campus have any cafeterias or places to eat on campus? And what about laundry; is there a laundry facility, does it take coins, etc.? What if you get sick; is there a doctor on campus? Visit around the city ahead of time and map out important places, like the hospital, good places to eat, coffee shops, the library, the grocery store, etc. If you take online courses, familiarize yourself with the online website and find out what your student email is. Establish a budget beforehand. Plan for communal bathrooms if your campus has them. And lastly, find out where to get your student ID.
Discuss everything so you know exactly what to expect when you start school. College can be rewarding, fulfilling, and fun for any student; it just takes a little preparation.
