Sometimes, a parent might try all the options available to help a son or daughter with an incurable disease, and hope may appear when researchers come up with an experimental drug that could possibly help. Sometimes, though, this hope is taken away when the drug isn’t approved. Drugs that have not been approved by the FDA cannot be made available to children.
