Antibiotics for laryngitis?

Do I need to call my doctor for antibiotics or should I just take a break and drink tea, honey, and lemon? I want it gone fast but I'm willing to wait if I don't have to get antibiotics.

Most cases of laryngitis are viral, not bacterial. That means that antibiotics are not effective against most cases of laryngitis. So, probably using home remedies as you mentioned would be fine. But if it isn’t getting better within a week, I would see an ENT for an endoscopy and look at the vocal cords to see what is happening.
