Can foot surgery be done with general anesthesia?

I will have foot surgery. Can foot surgery be done with general anesthesia?

Yes, but not needed most of the time. In my office, almost all elective procedures including bunion hammertoes heel spurs, are done in office with local anesthesia with no hardware, and patients walk on the same day, recovery is 2-6 wks.
