Concussion

I got a concussion a week ago. I am not planning on smoking right now, but want to smoke nicotine and weed hopefully soon. What is the recommended time to wait? My symptoms are lightening up and now just have a minor headache at times but it is hardly noticeable and only for a few seconds.

The safest thing is to not resume smoking anything, ever. I know thats not what you want to hear. But Birth control pills plus smoking raises your risk of stroke as a young person more than 100%. Besides that advice, there is no limit on time after a concussion. Leon Rosenberg
The recommended time to avoid strenuous or highly stimulating activity after a concussion is between 2 to 6 weeks depending on the degree of severity. I would suggest giving it another week of rest and if feeling much better then go for it. Good luck. Dr. F.  Sent from AOL on Android
