Hello, hopefully you got antibiotics if it gets really red sore and inflamed. And then you could put those eardrops if thats enough rather than an oral antibiotic, you can put a cotton ball in your ear overnight. That will offer some comfort. Hope that helps. Thanks. I hope that helps. LaDean LPN
